Helping Employees and Stakeholders Get Ready for the New Heathrow Terminal 2

Heathrow have turned to The Team to support their vision of ‘making every journey better’ by helping them to build confidence with stakeholders and employees whilst they are preparing for the opening of the new Terminal 2.

The Team will work with the People Readiness team and partners to ensure that staff working within T2 are familiarised with their new environment; aware of training requirements for new processes, systems and facilities; and are excited about the experience T2 will deliver for passengers.

The project will include designing interactive road shows as well as printed and digital collateral. The work not only aims at engaging Heathrow  staff, but also Heathrow’s external stakeholders – around 25,000 in total, which include the airlines, baggage handlers, retail,  control authorities): in total,

The Team has worked on similar projects for Heathrow in the past. Most notably they worked with Heathrow on Airline Moves, a project to rehouse airlines in new terminals after BA had moved its operations into Terminal 5. The Team designed and implemented the engagement activity for staff and stakeholders to ensure the moves were seamless. The Airline Moves project was awarded with a Design Effectiveness Award by the DBA in 2010, more on this work can be found in the heathrow airline moves credential.
