English Heritage awards its strategic brand contract to The Team

As English Heritage moves into its new phase as a charity, The Team have been selected as its strategic brand partner. Our remit will be to provide brand guardianship and direction for the next 3 years.

English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and sites – from world famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, from Roman forts on the edges of empire to Cold War bunkers. Through these, it brings the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year.

The charity’s portfolio includes Stonehenge, Dover Castle and some of the best preserved parts of Hadrian’s Wall.  It also operates the world-renowned London Blue Plaque Scheme.

The Team have been appointed to act as English Heritage’s strategic brand agency partner to develop and enhance its successful and award-winning brand strategy across all aspect of the charity’s operations, including on-site.

The Team was selected after a competitive pitch, successfully demonstrating a measurable track record in strategic brand development together with creative expertise and flair in both language and design approach.

“This appointment follows our highly successful partnership with The Team to create an engaging online brand experience, especially our new website,” Luke Whitcomb, Marketing Director of English Heritage said.  “The Team’s understanding of brand and particularly their strategic thinking capability has continued to impress us.”

The strategic brand partnership work with English Heritage commences from Autumn 2015.
